‘Jocelyn moved to Marlow some 27 years ago years ago from North London, her career in marketing having spanned the entertainment industry. Taking a change in direction, though still in marketing, she worked locally for Dun and Bradstreet, until retiring in 2017.
With a passion for community and the wellbeing of the local population at heart, Jocelyn was quick to take up opportunities to serve Marlow town.
In 2006, she took on the role of Coordinator of the Marlow Health check, resulting in a Vision Statement outlining the future needs of Marlow Town. This report was presented to a public forum and after approval an Action Plan was adopted. She was also Secretary to the Chamber of Trade and Commerce for two years.
Jocelyn became a Town Councillor in 2007, serving as Town Mayor and deputy Mayor on several occasions during her tenure. She has also chaired the Finance and Environment Committees and continues to serve on the Planning Committee.
Jocelyn was elected a Buckinghamshire Councillor in the 2021 elections for Marlow South-East, Flackwell Heath and Little Marlow Ward and was appointed Deputy Cabinet Member for Town Centre Regeneration. She is currently on the Licensing Committee, the Leisure Board and is also deputy chair of Communities and Wellbeing for the South-East Chiltern Community Board.
Jocelyn would like to continue to represent the County and the Town in the forthcoming elections (2025). She says:" Marlow is a very special place, and I am keen to continue representing our town and supporting its residents. I am always driven to maintain my reputation for ‘getting things done’. As a result of the recent parish boundary changes, I am delighted that Marlow South-East comes back into the Marlow Ward. I very much look forward to being able to support all our residents on both the Buckinghamshire and Marlow Town Councils in the future".’
