Ralph has lived in Stoke Poges since 1995. Both his children went to the village school, where his wife teaches music. Ralph has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked in the nuclear power industry, for Mars, Citigroup and as a management consultant. He was elected as a parish councillor for Stoke Poges in 2010, as a district councillor for South Bucks in 2011 and as a county councillor in 2017.
He is a former Leader of South Bucks District Council and was Chairman of its Planning Committee until the formation of the new Buckinghamshire Council. He now chairs the Finance and Resources Select Committee. Ralph has an interest in public health and serves as a Chair of a public health advisory committee with the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) developing health guidelines.
Ralph has edited ’Stoke Poges News’ since 2010 and is a bell-ringer at St Giles’, Stoke Poges.
