Mrs Marlene Lewis won the Farnham & Hedgerley Ward By-Election on Thursday 5th May. Marlene Lewis thanks local electors for all their confidence and her helpers from the Farnham & Hedgerley Branch. The results were Lewis (Con) 962, Gray-Fisk (UKIP) 339, Sains (The Green Party) 239.
Marlene has lived in Hedgerley for 30 years and is immersed in local activities. She holds professional qualifications in nursing, midwifery, nurse tutoring and a variety of holistic and alternative therapies.
Marlene was the first female Rotary Club President in Slough in 2013, raising charitable funds to promote youth literacy and to support other local causes. She still cooks for the Homeless and supports their night shelter.
For relaxation Marlene sings with the Stoke Poges singers and the local choirs in the United Benefice. She manages and maintains a small woodland at the back of her home - a small contribution to the local environment we all cherish.
